Explore our 3 hotels in the Canadian Rockies
Located in Banff, Lake Louise, and Yoho National Park, BC.
Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts owns and operates three rustic mountain lodges in the Canadian Rockies. Buffalo Mountain Lodge is located in Banff, AB, Deer Lodge is located in Lake Louise, AB and Emerald Lake Lodge is located on secluded Emerald Lake near Field, B.C.
Distinct from the majority of Banff hotels, Buffalo Mountain Lodge is situated on Tunnel Mountain – formerly called “Sleeping Buffalo” by First Nations living in the region. Buffalo Mountain Lodge is a peaceful retreat surrounded by 9 acres of towering fir, pine, and spruce trees, yet just a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the shopping, nightlife and restaurants that are on offer in downtown Banff. A favourite visitor pastime is to observe the deer and elk who frequently nibble on the lawn, right outside the lodge’s windows.
The lodge has 108 guest rooms, an outdoor hot tub, and several options for dining, making it the ideal location for a weekend getaway, wedding, or corporate retreat. Each room has been carefully decorated to reflect the mountain lifestyle in Banff and feature fieldstone wood-burning fireplaces.
Deer Lodge is just minutes away from world famous Lake Louise. The lodge is a testament to a bygone era, and retains much of its’ original hand hewn log structure and décor. Built in 1923 as a teahouse, the lodge officially opened as a hotel in 1925. Deer Lodge was completely renovated, restored and winterized in 1985. It is beloved by international and local guests for its unique rustic mountain accommodation.
The lodge has 71 guest rooms, a roof-top, stainless-steel hot tub, and a highly-acclaimed restaurant, making it the ideal location for a getaway that is the true definition of ‘getting away from it all.’
Emerald Lake Lodge truly is an escape from the ordinary. Experience the silence that can only come when cell phones have no reception, televisions are not in the rooms, and cars are not permitted to drive on property . Emerald Lake Lodge is nestled on the shores of the impeccably turquoise Emerald Lake surrounded by towering mountains. This is a destination that could be considered paradise.
Just 20 minutes west of Lake Louise, in Yoho National Park, the lodge was originally built in 1902 and was renovated, restored and winterized in 1986. The original main lodge is still in use as our check in area, games room, lounge and restaurant, while newer, chalet-style guest accommodation was added in the 1986 renovation.
