Today, we're building some of finest herds of elk, buffalo and reindeer in the world as part of our quest to provide the very best for our guests. Rocky Mountain Cuisine is BornLong before they started the Canadian Rocky Mountain Ranch, Pat and Connie O'Connor owned the Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts. It was in the kitchens of Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff, Deer Lodge in Lake Louise, and Emerald Lake Lodge in Yoho National Park that "Rocky Mountain Cuisine" was created. Guests from around the world quickly acquired a taste for this exciting new alternative food concept. Within five years, the venison, caribou, elk and buffalo dishes expertly combined with the very best local ingredients accounted for half the meals served at Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts. Canadian Rocky Mountain Ranch Store Open for Summer SeasonThe Canadian Rocky Mountain Ranch on-site store is open for its second summer season. The store will be open every Friday and Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Offerings in the store include hormone and antibiotic-free elk and bison, raised in a humane manner.
