In our dining room, lounge and bar you can sample Rocky Mountain Cuisine, the roots of which go back to both the lavish Victorian cooking from the CPR rail cars and the hearty meats prepared by Swiss and Austrian mountain guides.
All dishes are artfully presented and professionally served. Our wine list is extensive and features many award winning Canadian wines from central British Columbia, and includes a large selection of hard to find vintners' reserve wines.
Our wine list received the coveted Wine Spectator "Best of Award of Excellence" in 2004 and boasts over 400 outstanding local and international selections.
Please note: It is strongly recommended that guests make dinner reservations when booking accommodation at CRMR's lodges, especially when booking the Gourmet Getaway package. Reservations will not be made automatically. We would like all our guests to have the opportunity to savour our mouth-watering Rocky Mountain Cuisine!
Mount Burgess Dining Room
Mount Burgess Dining Room is renowned for its signature Rocky Mountain Cuisine and comfortable, warm atmosphere. Experience Chef Valerie Morrison's seasonal menu, featuring free-range elk, bison and caribou along with seafood, pasta and sophisticated desserts. Whether your days at Emerald Lake Lodge are spent outside in the breathtaking Rockies or curled up beside a roaring fire, the dishes served in the dining room are meant to nourish and comfort you during your stay in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Breakfast:
Monday to Friday: 8am - 10am
Saturday, Sunday and peak times: 7am - 11am
Dinner:
Sunday to Thursday: 6pm - 8:30pm
Friday and Saturday: 5:30pm - 9:30pm
The restaurant operating hours are subject to change during off-peak and quiet times. Please check with the front desk on arrival for any time changes.

Kicking Horse Lounge
Open Sunday to Thursday from noon - 10pm
Friday, Saturday and peak times from 11am to 11pm. Check with the front desk on arrival for any time changes. Featuring an "all day menu".

Cilantro On The Lake
At Emerald Lake we have created a magnificent post and beam architectural structure. The photos, though accurate, cannot fully convey the beauty of the open-timber, vaulted-ceiling mountain lodge and its surroundings. It achieves a successful integration with the Emerald Lake historic lodge and the soft elegance of the emerald-green lake. In the winter months we use the Cilantro lodge as a conference facility, opening in the summer for restaurant business.
Hours of Operation
Cilantro is open for the summer season May 16 – August 29, 2009. Please call 250-343-6321 to learn about our summer hours of operation. Beginning August 30, Cilantro will be open for lunch service only, from 11:00am - 5:00pm.
These dates are approximate and may change based on business levels. Please call to confirm. Closed beginning September 13 for the fall/winter seasons.. Cilantro will open for the summer season in May 2010.
